Medical Expense Tax Credit and Learning Disabilities

CCRW Youth Scholarship Program for Students with Disabilities
Purpose
To assist students with disabilities in their pursuit for post-secondary education and training
Supported and administered by
The Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work (CCRW)
Awards
Six scholarships in the amount of $2,500.00 each are available for the academic year beginning September 2011
Conditions/Eligibility
To be considered, scholarship applicants must:
· Be a person with a long-term and reoccurring disability that restricts the ability of a person to perform the activities necessary to participate in educational activities. This limitation is expected to remain with the person for life.
· Be a high school student entering the first year of studies in a Canadian post-secondary institution that is recognized by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada at the undergraduate level.
· Be a full-time student (vs part-time).
· Not be involved in the selection process or be a close family member of any scholarship selection committee member.
· Not have been awarded one of these CCRW Scholarships in the past. Scholarships are not renewable, one time payment only.
