Personal Counselling
Students having any personal concerns should contact the guidance counsellor and set up an appointment or feel free to drop in as we do have an 'Open Door' policy.
Academic Counselling
Course selection, study programs, and test taking skills are available to all students.
Career Counselling
Career planning and post-secondary information is available from the guidance office. Career Resource Assistants (CRA's) are specifically hired to help students with any career related question or inquiry. Computerized career programs such as Career Cruising are also available.
Career planning is a lifelong process and the stages and skills should be developed during the adolescent years. These skills can enhance a student’s sense of self-esteem and create a feeling of control over their own destiny.
In order to use Career Cruising online, you must get the access I.D. and access password from the Guidance Office or Career Information page tab on the left.
Group Counselling
Small group counselling sessions may be arranged to cover topics in the areas of health, behaviour, academic, stress management, career plans, etc. This will depend on student/schools needs at the time.
Crisis Intervention
Dealing with serious problems which require immediate and special procedures.
Classroom Guidance
Teachers may arrange individual classroom presentations on different issues.
